Sylvester Judd writes William Lloyd Garrison informing him that he had received the circular concerning the Anti-Sabbath Convention from Mr. Whipple, but states his regrets that he cannot assent to signing it, though he deems it an "honor to have [his] name conjoined with those who will become its subscribers". Judd states that he is displeased by the title, and that were the convention to be held under a distinctly different appelation, then he could eagerly join, as he is "not so much for destroying the Lord's Day, as for reforming it".
