Caddie Woodlawn loves to do the daring things that boys do. But even though they're a pioneer family, her thother wants her to act like a lady ... until the time the settlers are faced with war with the Indians.

Then Caddie does what the grown men are afraid to do. She goes into the forest alone to find the Indians and talk! You've never met a girl like Caddie!
