In the attic of the huge, ancient house where her family moved after her father died, five-year-old Dorrie finds a treasure trove of forgotten toys. Her big brother and sister don't believe her when she says she can bring the dolls to life with her kisses. But she's always so tired when she's done playing with them, as though they've stolen her very breath away. As Dorrie grows weaker, the toys grow stronger...strong enough to open the attic door at night and creep downstairs, where they play deadly tricks on anyone who tries to stand in their way. Nobody believes Dorrie when she says the dolls are evil. Now Dorrie must put a stop to her wicked little playmates all by herself.
