Written by William Lily, first headmaster of St. Paul's School in London, John Colet, and Thomas Robertson. A short introduction of grammar and Brevissima institutio were often issued together beginning in the 1540s.
T.p. of A short introduction to grammar has woodcut border illustrating the study of seven subjects: gramatica, rhetorica, arithmetica, geometria, astronomia, musica, and dialectica.
"Brevissima institutio" has special t.p. with imprint date of 1724; pagination and register are continuous.
