In 4 pts., each with separate t.p. and pagination. Pts. 2-4 are dated 1658.

Title of pt. 2: A briefe narration of the originall undertakings of the advancement of plantations into the parts of America.

Pt. 3 is a reprint, with new t.p. and preface, of Edward Johnson's History of New-England, and has same running title: Wonder-working Providence of Sions Saviour, in New England. After publication, Gorges publicly accused the publisher of inserting it without his knowledge. Cf. Stevens, Henry. Steven's historical collections, 1881, pt. 1, p. 36.

Signatures: A⁴(-A4) B-P⁴, ²[A]² B-2G⁴ 2H², ³A² B-K⁴.

LC copy imperfect: pt. 1 wants signatures A1-3, and both plates. Facsim. has been substituted for missing t.p.
