An edition of Carer support programs (2012)

Carer support programs

This report examines government support for carers in Victoria. The Department of Health and the Department of Human Services fund a range of programs to support primary carers, such as counselling, respite and training for carers of aged, disabled, and mentally ill people. This report presents the findings of an audit on whether government services effectively recognise and support carers, especially through the identification of carers, the promotion and referral of services, and providing timely and equitable access.
