Musical notation and illustrations are etchings. Some numbered pages of notation are blank on verso. Some full-page illustrations are included in pagination; there are four additional, unnumbered plates.
Limited edition of 676 copies. Copies "1 to 26 will have an additional set of proof etchings, signed, printed on vellum. ... 27 to 76 will have an additional set of proof etchings, signed, printed on Japanese paper. ... 77 to 176 will have an additional set of proof etchings, signed, printed on Dutch hand-made paper. ... 177 to 676 will be printed on Dutch hand-made paper" -- T.p. verso.
LC Copy 1 is no. 221, signed by Hubert Herkomer and Novello & Co. The title page illustration is signed: HH 90."
