"A Limited edition was produced to commemorate the William Caxton Quincentenary 1476-1976. Each copy is numbered: Numbers: 1-20 : 21-100 : 101-500. Each section will have a special wove and binding. This is Copy no.54"
Edition Notes
Based on a lecture delivered in Nov. 1975 at the Grolier Club as part of the series Heritage of the graphic arts.
"700 copies made for the Typophiles and 400 for members of the Book Club of California"--Colophon. The 700 copies for the Typophiles were issued with a New York : Typophiles, 1976 imprint and are separately cataloged.
With errata slip. Second series statement is from errata slip.
