Ofer Bar Yehudah was wounded in 1975 in an action on the Jordanian border preventing terrorists who had infiltrated from reaching their target in Jerusalem. He fought to continue his career in the army despite being an amputee and was a battalion commander in the 'Peace in the Galilee' campaign.
