There are also articles with a feminist analysis of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the violent sexual appeal of movies about serial killers and murder, idea that vulgar speech loses power when spoken by women, thoughts about fiction on Russian mail order brides, an analysis of companies using women to sell magazines, a critique of magazines featuring Oprah for her movie Beloved, and a piece on the LGBTQ activist group Dyke Action Machine (DAM). There are also paid ads, letters to the editor and interviews with writer Janice Eidus, artist Laura Lengyel known for her female body art, and artist Sadie Benning.
