Matthijs de Clercq has been collecting Dutch drawings with great enthusiasm for some time now. These are primarily drawings by old masters, but the collection also includes works from the 20th and 21st centuries. The Teyler Museum has gained over seventy exceptional drawings over recent years. These includes works by Pieter Aertsen, Crispijn van den Broeck, Corneille Jacob Matham, Jan Porcellis and Maerten de Vos. Each and every one of them an important figure that the Teyler did not yet possess any drawings by. Exhibition Teyler Museum, Haarlem June/September 2010.
