Edition Notes

Title from TEI header.

Regularly updated.

The parentheses surrounding printed page numbers have been silently omitted. Also omitted are additions to the printed volume by hand. These consist of a running numeration at the upper-right hand corner of each recto page, apparently continuous throughout the volume, as the numbers found on this text span 569-572. Added separately, by another hand and apparently at a later date, are numbers on the first pages of this text, the one following it in the compiled volume, and presumably others; this text bears the number 44.

Transcription of original: An evident demonstration to Gods elect which clearly manifesteth to them I. How necessary and expedient it is for them to come to witnesse true faith, II. That after they have attained to the faith, it must be tryed as gold is tryed in the fire, III. It shews how many have departed from the faith and denyed it, IV. That the standing of the saints is by faith in the Son of God, V. How strong Abraham was in the faith, and how all that believe are to look unto him / [Margaret Fell] 1st ed. London : Thomas Simmons, 1660.

Wing (2nd ed., 1994) F629.
