In the lush, green undulating hills of the tiny East African village of Nayatovu, just north of Kigali, Rwanda, where the last of the morning mist desperately clings to the red serpentine dirt road, Juliana Mukankwaya wore a vacant look as she explained why she, herself a mother of six, along with a number of other women from her village, rounded up two children of her Tutsi neighbor and bludgeoned them to death.
