Edition Notes

Heather Mullen is largely based on politico and fiction writer, Santa Cruz native Hannah Miller. The two pieces featured are the #10 and the #11 pieces, sequentially and respectively, in the 2023 edition of Equations, both in print and on PennSound, where the book in its entirety landed, in 2023. They are unchanged and unrevised, back to the initial 2011 print edition of the book. Heather Mullen also appears as herself in Letters to Dead Masters and A Poet in Center City.

Work Description

Equations, by American poet Adam Fieled, is a voyage in prose into expressed sexuality and human relationships, in dialectic form. It was originally released in print by Blue & Yellow Dog Press in 2011; the second print edition, also from Blue & Yellow Dog Press, appeared in 2018. In 2021-23, nine Equations were added to the thesis portion of the book, and the 2023 edition placed in its entirety on PennSound.
