The collection of voyages by Herrera and others, was previously published in Amsterdam, in 1622, under title: Novvs Orbis, sive Descriptio Indiae Occidentalis. The Paralipomena Americae is based on José de Acosta's Historia natural y moral de las Indias, previously published in Latin translation in America, pt. 9.
