An extensive genealogical and historical works detailing the descendancy of Nicholas Knapp who emigrated from England in 1630 with the Winthrop fleet. Some lines are documented for up to 12 generations. It was the pre-eminent work of its time and continues to be a critical reference tool for anyone researching Knapps here in the US. I have heard that it contains many errors, which I should think you would expect with works this extensive and of this type. I don't think it follows the lineage of daughters at all though does give some informtion on their children if known. Sources may be provided, but are missing in most of the works. There are sections other than the genealogy giving history and other collateral information, including revolutionary patriot information.
