"A careful deciphering of one of a series of 16th-century pictographic manuscripts from Cuauhtinchan, Puebla, with an analysis of the historiographical tradition of the document (covering events from the 12th-16th centuries) and its place in the broader category of Mesoamerican writing systems. Where possible, translates pictographical material into Nahuatl expressions with assistance from the related Historia tolteca chichimeca"--Handbook of Latin American Studies, v. 58.
