The Radiant Tree is a book of short stories which all have romantic love as a common theme. The Great Depression is also interwoven into the stories. Most of the stories deal with disappointment in a particular relationship, but much to the relief of the reader, true love follows. The characters must make decisions about their circumstances, and sometimes sacrifice leads to happiness. The stories are easy to read and very enjoyable. Life in the 1930s is clearly presented. This book makes you want to read more of Temple Bailey's books.
