This booklet gives a brief history of the Sequatchie Valley in Tennessee that runs through the counties of Marion, Sequatchie and Bledsoe. It contains seven photos made in Pikeville, Dunlap, Jasper and South Pittsburg. The booklet was printed in 1916 and tells whom each county was named for and also gives brief histories of some of the communities in these counties. A short description of the railroad running up the valley from Bridgeport, Alabama to Pikeville is also told along with the Tennessee and Sequatchie rivers being mentioned. From the Native Americans, early pioneers to present day (1916) are all included in the writing. Early politics and churches are also covered.
