Reprinted with variations in The weekly magazine, Philadelphia, Mar. 17-Apr. 7, 1798, as The rights of women.
Copious extracts from the continuation or second dialogue promised by E.H. Smith in his Advertisement (p. [3], 1st group) and mentioned on p. 4 of cover as parts three and four, were published in Dunlap's Life of Brown, Philadelphia, 1815 (v. 1, p. 71-105). Pages 71-74 in Dunlap were taken from the original dialogue to serve as an introduction to the second. Cf. W.L. Clark's "Brockden Brown and the rights of women."
