Sadly, there have always been - and are now - people for whom power and money constitute the total of their lives. They will murder without a moment of regret nor empathy for their victims as long as their twisted minds tells them that what they do - or have done - is best for themselves. This is evil in its most basic form.
Happily, there are also people who fight against such evil. Other people strive to bring knowledge and beauty into all of our lives. This is a tale, masterly accomplished, of these different types of people and how their actions affected all of those around them.

Set in our future with all the accompanying technologies we don't have now, it demonstrates the human conditions, actions, emotions and aspirations are with us through all of our passages through time - despite wonderous technology. A very good read. gmb 5-22-20
