The text is set in a new type, Cancellaresca Milanese, which was designed specifically for the edition by Russell Maret. The type is based closely on one used by Giovanni Antonio Castiglioni in Milan in 1541. The printer is indebted to Martin Antonetti for sharing his enthusiasm for Castiglioni's work.
