Caption title, as printed in red at the beginning of main text, leaf 1a.; caption on prelim. leaf 1 may have read: Decretalium copiosum argumentum (cf. Adams G-1212).
Prepared originally by Raymundus de Pennaforte and promulgated in 1234 as church law by Gregory IX, the work became part of the pre-1918 Corpus juris canonici.
The (all-around) glosses are those originally compiled by Bernardo Bottoni (d. 1266), with later accretions by Giovanni d'Andrea and others.
Imprint from colophon on leaf 423 verso (with date expressed in Latin words).
Signatures: a¹⁰ b-z⁸ A-2K⁸ 2L⁶.
Collation matches that of the ed. dated 1717, Adams G-1212; there is, however, no mention of Aymon de la Porte. Possibly another (?) issue of v. 2 of the ed. of Corpus juris canonici listed in Baudrier, H. L. Bib. lyonnaise, XI, p. 108.
"Tabula Ludouici Bolognini concordans Decretales cum Decreto": leaves 1-4; "Margarita Decretalium": leaves I-XVII (4th group); followed by Repertorium verborum que in Margarita continentur, and Vita Gregorij Noni.
LC copy imperfect: prelim. leaves 1-2 wanting; prelim. leaf [10] mutilated, only a scrap remains; first item preserved is captioned Capitula Decretalium.
