According to Medina, Mexico, the author is Ambrosio de Sena, based on information found on the t.p. verso, but it is generally listed under the name of Francisco de Medina, the translator.
Title, imprint, and foliation statements based on information from Medina; Garcia Icazbalceta states he has never seen a complete copy, his information on the title and date, which he gives as 1604, is based on the preliminary "aprobaciónes"
