Edition Notes
Holograph, signed.
Although William Lloyd Garrison has been appointed a delegate to the Augusta Convention, he is unable to attend. It would be gratifying for Garrison "to introduce Mr. Thompson to the Convention, with all the gratitude and admiration I feel in view of his eminent merits." Garrison believes that George Thompson will represent the cause well.
