May hopes to arrange matters at home so that she can be with Deborah Weston at the time of the fair, as help will be needed more than ever and "your ranks are so thinned by the wandering spirit which seems to have taken hold of the Abolitionists." She tells about a local sewing circle. She wishes to discuss "that embroidery" with Deborah Weston.
