A window has been cut in the later front pastedown to show an old inscription praising the illustrations cut by the "famoso Sandeler." Above at upper left is a bookplate with monogram composed of V, d, and G with the motto "je fus sage je fus fou"; a larger version of the bookplate is centered on the back pastedown. Traces remain on t.p. and p. [85] of two stamps.
The Malvesi arms on the t.p. have been illuminated with opaque color and gold, and copied by hand on †4v at the end of the dedication with "Pirro Malvezzi" added on a ribbon below. The woodcut initials have been similarly illuminated.
