Next provides information of the effects of the Norman invasion in 1066 when the Saxon lords were ejected and the Norman Lords took over, referencing the Domesday Book. Genealogical information is given of the barons and landholders.

Preface contains an extended collation of Cheshire topographical authorities.
King's Vale royall, written by William Smith and William Webb, was published together with Samuel Lee's Chronicon cestrense and J. Chaloner's Short treatise of the Isle of Man, by David King. In the present work, Chaloner's Isle of Man has been omitted.
