Text probably based on Gamboa's 1952 work, entitled: Obras maestras del arte mexicano, desde los tiempos precolombinos hasta nuestros días.
Catalog of a traveling exhibition of the art works originally exhibited in the Mexican pavilion of the 1958 World's Fair held in Brussels, April-October 1958. The exhibition was held at the Hermitage in 1961, the Petit-Palais in Paris, April-June 1962; the Louisiana (art museum in Humlebaek, Denmark), March 9-June 30, 1963, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, October 1963-January 1964. The traveling exhibition was promoted by the Department for Cultural Relations of the Mexican Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
