Illustrations: numerous small metal cuts and woodcuts by various artists, attributed by some to Bernard Salomon or Pierre Eskrich. Except for 17 ordered by Aneau (cf. pref.) most of the cuts of the 1552 and subsequent editions had appeared in other works, e.g. Marot's translation of Ovid's Metamorphoses, Lyon, Roville, 1550.
