THIS BOOK WAS HORRIBLE. IF A FAMILY WITH A CHILD WITH LISSENCEPHALY WANTED A BOOK THEY COULD RELATE TO THIS IS NOT ONE THEY SHOULD PICK. MIRIAM WAS A MOTHER WHO COULD NOT HANDLE A CHILD WITH A DISABILITY SO SHE SENT HIM OFF OVER AN HOUR AWAY FROM HIS FAMILY. SHE TOOK A JOB THAT SHE TRAVELED WITH ALL THE TIME AND NEVER MENTIONED HOW HE CAME FIRST. SHE RELIED ON OTHER PEOPLE TO RAISE HER CHILD FOR HER. I CANNOT BELIEVE PEOPLE WOULD ACTUALLY CONSIDER THIS BOOK TO BE WELL WRITTEN. PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS BOOK. IT DOES NOT SHOW A TRUE PORTRAYAL OF A FAMILY DEALING WITH A CHILD WITH A DISABILITY.
