Second edition of: A narrative of the troubles with the Indians in New-England...To which is added a discourse about the warre with the Pequods...Boston, 1677. Although differing but slightly from the first, this second edition (the only one printed in England) is the more highly prized as having received the author's last corrections.
An abridged edition, from which several later editions were copied, was published at Boston in 1775.
The map has inscription: A map of New-England, being the first that ever was here cut, and done by the best pattern that could be had.
This copy has what is considered the correct map for this edition, the mound immediately beneath the title being designated as "The Wine Hills," the Boston edition having the proper designation "The White Hills."
